Itinerary

Introduction

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.

Day 1

Cochin- Munnar

Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, you will be transferred to Munnar. En route, visit Spice Plantations and Valara/Cheeyappara Falls. Once you reach Munnar, check in at the hotel. Spend a leisurely evening and stay overnight in Munnar.

Day 2

Munnar Sightseeing

In the morning, head out for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar visiting Mattupetty Dam/Lake, Echo Point, Nursery Garden, Photo Point, Rajamalai National Park, Anamudi Peak and Tata Tea Museum. In the evening, enjoy Spice Tea trailing at Munnar. Stay overnight at the hotel, in Munnar.

Day 3

Munnar to Thekkady

In the morning, drive to Thekkady. On arrival, check in at the hotel and refresh yourself. Later, head out for a half-day sightseeing tour of Thekkady. Enjoy the boat safari on the Periyar Lake through Periyar Tiger Reserve. Later, visit the spice plantations. In the evening, stroll along the colourful Spice Market in the Kumili Village. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel, in Thekkady.

Day 4

Thekkady to Alleppey

In the morning, drive to Alleppey. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and then cruise through the web of lakes, lagoons, canals and rivers. Stroll along verdant paddy fields in Kuttanad Region. Stay overnight in the hotel in Alleppey.

Day 5

Alleppey to Kovalam

Post a short excursion to the Alleppey Beach, head to Kovalam. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. The day after that is free for your activities. Stay overnight at the hotel, in Kovalam.

Day 6

Trivandrum Sightseeing

Visit the ancient Padmanabhaswami Temple and the famous Kovalam Beach. Stay overnight in Kovalam, in comfort.

Day 7

Departure

Today, you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
