Itinerary

Introduction

Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.

Day 1
TRANSFER TO SIGIRIYA

Once you arrive at the Bandaranayake International Airport, You will be met and greeted by a representative of ECD holidays. Thereafter transfer to Sigiriya.
On route make a stop at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage where you would have the opportunity to interact with some orphaned elephants, you may wish to feed them and perhaps even give them a bath in the local river. Afterwards proceed to Sigiriya and check in at your stunning hotel for an overnight stay and spend the rest of the day at leisure.Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 2
LOCAL SIGHTSEEING DAMBULLA

After Early breakfast climb the staggering UNESCO world heritage site - Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb the 1200 odd steps to the top whilst catching glimpses of the mirrored wall, the painted damsels and the throne of King Kasyapa. 
Upon completion do an excursion of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. The Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century, contains some splendid and spectacular status.  Lankatilake, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period.  Proceed back to the hotel and spend the evening leisurely in the hotel. Overnight in Dambulla.

Day 3
TRANSFER TO KANDY

After breakfast transfer to Kandy.On the way visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Continue journey to Kandy. Check into hotel. Overnight at Kandy.

Day 4
KANDY LOCAL - ELIYA

After breakfast take a tour of the city of Kandy which would include a visit the Temple of The Tooth Relic, batik workshop, an arts and crafts centre, the Peradeniya Botanical gardens and perhaps even an interesting tour of the Garrison cemetery...
Transfer to Nuwara Eliya. Check into hotel and spend the rest of the evening leisurely in the hotel.Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

ELIYA TO YALA

After early breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Yala. Check into hotel and spend the rest of the evening leisurely at the hotel.Overnight in Yala.

YALA - COLOMBO

In the morning, visit the Yala National Park.Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds. Thereafter transfer to Colombo.Overnight in Colombo.

DROP AT AIRPORT - TOUR END

After Breakfast check out from hotel then transfer to Airport. Back to your home destination with sweet Memory...!!!
